One of the best-preserved areas in the world where you can see such rich wildlife, the Maldives is a paradise for sealife fans and luxury lovers.
Because luxury is also a trait of the Maldives. While you can come here on a smaller budget as well, it is a destination where money talks. You can enjoy the wildlife and peace and quiet on a budget, but true luxury and relaxation will require some larger investment for sure.
What happens when gorgeous water life meets luxury? Well, in Maldives’ overwater bungalows with glass floors, this is what happens. A luxurious overwater villa with a see-through floor will allow you to watch reef sharks and stingrays from your living room while enjoying a glass of wine with your loved ones.
Now, I would split this into three or more parts. Some of these cottages have a very small “window” on the floor, something less than a foot wide. And while this still qualifies as a glass floor, they cannot really compare to the ones that have half your living room with an ocean view.
Also, some of the overwater villas in the Maldives with a transparent floor have 2 or more bedrooms, thus being more “niche”. And while I know there are people that need a 2 bedroom water villa, this is a separate topic that most of us aren’t interested in. You will also find a split between bungalows with glass floors in the living room, bedroom, and some other random areas of the villa. You’d be surprised how imaginative interior designers and architects can be.
