Everything from the pool to the room, from atmosphere to the people are terrific! We spent two nights at a Crusoe Residence and it was the best time we had this year. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have made us feel more welcome. When you’re on the island, everyone treats you like family, and you become a part of it. A few things to consider

When thinking of booking a water villa with a slide in the Maldives, there are a few things you need to consider. You will, of course, decide for yourself which resort is the best for your needs, but please keep in mind the following.

Some water villas don’t allow children, or at least children younger than 12. This is due to safety reasons, as the resort owner cannot allow any risky activities to happen on their premises. So keep this in mind if the exact reason you want a water villa with a slide is for your kids. Read the fine print carefully or even ask the accommodation directly if you can book the villa if you’re coming with younger children.

As an alternative, there are a few of the resorts listed above where you can find villas with slides that end in a pool, so they’re beach villas in the end, not water villas, but they still have the slide. You can try and book one of these, again, if you’re allowed to book them with children.

An even safer alternative is to book a resort that has a slide for the entire resort, like a children’s play area or a separate pool for the slide. These are probably our best bet as they usually have a lifeguard assigned to the pool. These places also provide the other benefits that you might need for a family vacation like child-friendly food, a kids club, or even babysitting services.

Another thing you should keep in mind is the pricing. While I suspect this is not a major deciding factor for you, as these water bungalows are rarely cheap, maybe you don’t want to spend more than you should for the exact same service.
